The Cross Pollination of Brilliant Ideas - Juno Specialists

Juno has felt like it’s humming with magic this past month or so. We’re keen to articulate it. To invite you in. So you can be a fly on the wall of this space. Or should we say, a bee…

Observing the movement within the clinic returns us - again and again - to a metaphor of bees.

Juno has become a living, breathing example of ‘the hive mind’. A place where thoughts, ideas and treatment principles funnel together in the pursuit of more holistic and elevated outcomes.

A hive mind fosters cohesion and collaboration.

And right now, that sense is palpable.

Cross Pollination is what’s occurring within these walls.

Brilliant specialists learning from and teaching each other.

Tending to the micro and the macro.

Narrowing down by focusing in. And at the same time, expanding out to things as big as quality of life.

Working side-by-side.

Growing broader, more comprehensively beautiful outcomes.

The cross pollination of brilliant ideas

Sounds like specialists having conversations around a boiling kettle.

Looks like practitioners folding onto each others treatment couches at the end of the day - reflecting and brainstorming clinical circumstances over snacks.

Feels like knowledge on knowledge on knowledge.

As practitioners, we’ve reached for cross-modality interactions all our careers.

We’ve had more meaningful cross-modality interaction in recent months then we have in our careers. Because it’s so effortless to do so when you’re in each others pockets.

It’s as simple as

a few steps,

a door knock,

and:

‘How would you approach this with the tools / knowledge / experience you have?’

We’re loving:

Learning from each other

Watching each other work

Knowing who else is on your care team

Growing together into something both adaptable and strong

and the simplicity and ease of blending minds and skills together.

Sharing stories, knowledge, systems of care and possibilities while folding clinic towels is our new favourite thing.

Sharing a slice of cake that Robynne has made while giving a verbal handover to a colleague is exceptionally fabulous too.

What we’ve come to understand is:

The cross pollination of brilliant ideas is collaborative care in action.

‘Collaborative Care’ on it’s own are just two fancy words. Just a concept. Cross pollination is how collaborative care comes alive.

Cross pollination is:

Brilliant minds with rich clinical experience coming together. Creating new pathways and new frameworks. Birthing new possibilities and landing more robust, expansive, layered outcomes.

In recent weeks and months, we’ve been scaffolding something entirely new.

Our brains are sore and our hearts are happy.

There have been the occasional teary eyes as we witness what’s unfolding. As we allow ourselves to acknowledge what’s been missing for women, AFAB people and families up til now.

This is something we’re so chuffed to offer.

Something all women, AFAB people, mothers, infants and children have all

always deserved.

As always, we would love to be a part of your healthcare and support team.
